How does booking a jazz band work?
Booking Dream City Jazz takes a few steps, and almost all of it happens online.
Start with a free consultation. Then you sign a digital contract and pay a 50% deposit to hold your date. The balance is due a week before the event. Your contract, payments and song picks all live in your BookLive client portal, and paying by bank transfer (ACH) keeps the fee low.
Step by step
- Free consultation. Tell us your date, venue, the kind of event and the parts of it you want music for. We'll talk through lineups and timing.
- Digital contract. You get a contract to review and sign online.
- Hold the date. A 50% deposit holds your date.
- Pick your songs. Choose your music in your BookLive client portal.
- Pay the balance. The rest is due a week before your event. Bank transfer (ACH) keeps the fee low.
- Enjoy the music. The band arrives about 45 to 60 minutes before the music starts and brings its own keyboard, amps and drums.
About pricing
Our rates are set, and they aren't negotiable. What changes the price is what you book. For example, ceremony plus cocktail hour costs more than cocktail hour alone, because there's more music to prepare and more time on site. Ask about pricing in your free consultation.
Book early
Spring and fall weekend dates go first. If your event is on a weekend in one of those seasons, reach out as soon as you have a date and a venue.
